Commonly
asked questions about general requirements
Q
How many databases
are used?
A
There is one single
and central Caspian database. However this database contains an
unlimited number of business databases, for example ‘Hot Prospects'
database and ‘Top 50 Customers' database. Furthermore, through the
central database unlimited numbers of unique databases can be created
per each field based account manager/sales person. For multi site
organisations without a fast and effective VPN or WAN, there is
also the multi site bi-directions databases which once again are
subsidiaries to the central host database.
Q Do
we use Outlook to send our emails?
A
You can if you want
to, but think about the consequences of time and actions when your
email gets a response and you then need to share that information
with many people in different departments and locations. Alternatively,
you can send your email from within Caspian without even using your
Outlook, but Caspian will update your Outlook sent box as though
you had sent it from within Outlook. We also do amazing things with
the incoming emails and attachments. This way, everyone with authorised
access can see what you have sent and received and not having to
have access your Outlook database or any other database because
its all in Caspian.
Q
How many records can
be effectively stored and managed in the Caspian database?
A
There are no limits
to the number of records, we have known of Caspian databases running
into millions of accounts with even larger numbers of contacts.
Q
What happens when
we change our ERP system and want to continue with the use of our
already integrated Caspian with the new ERP system?
A
Caspian is independent
from financial systems and has been designed to integrate with virtually
any system including old green systems. You'll simply use the tools
and templates to bi-directionally integrate with your new ERP/MRP/Accounting
system. If needed, you can set-up totally new integration system
by simply using the Caspian tools. You are not restricted and held
back because of Caspian
