Q What is Caspian written in?

A C++, VBA, ASP languages. As a COM based solution your investment is future proofed for future upgrades to .Net versions.

Q What database do you use?

A Oracle SQL databases, Microsoft SQL Server databases, IBM DB2, Sybase SQLAnywhere. Caspian can also provide its own proprietary relational database.

Q What operating systems can it be used on and which one do we have to standardise on?

A All Windows operating systems like 98, 2000, NT and XP. You do not need to standardise on any particular Windows operating system because you can install Caspian specific to the Windows systems used and your users would have independent concurrent access irrespective of the operating system.

Q What third party reporting tool could we use?

A There are numerous reporting and analysis options available in the Caspian suite of solutions including ones that any user could use without any IT knowledge or support, as for third party tools virtually any. The ones most commonly used are Crystal, Business Objects and MS Access.

Q How long does it take to install Caspian and can it be done centrally?

A It will take any user less than four minutes to install Caspian using its automated Wizards. You can also install it from the central server. Installations for eCRM do not require any software to be installed on the user's PC. Citrix and Terminal Server installations are obviously server based anyway.
